Do you live in Bournemouth, Poole, Swanage, Weymouth, Dorchester, Southampton, New forest, Shaftsbury, Andover and surrounding areas of Dorset and Hampshire? ………………. Well good because now Taste Coffee are here to ensure that you Drink and Sell the most consistent cup of coffee from a Traditional Coffee machine.
As all coffee drinkers know you can have a good cup of coffee and a bad cup of coffee, mostly this is an error of the Barista on hand not understanding how to brew the perfect espresso!
There are so many factors which make up a good coffee, Grind, Dosage of coffee, Tamping, frothing of the milk, humidity, freshness of beans and much more, coffee is an art!!!!!
Our suggestion to anyone who is going to take on a Traditional machine would be to ensure they use 2 very simple pieces of equipment to eliminate some key errors; an on-demand grinder and a Click tamper.
The on-demand grinder will ensure the same dosage of coffee every time into a group head. So around 7g for a single basket and 14 grams for a double basket. If these measures are under then the coffee can be brewed to quickly, if there is too much coffee it can brew to slowly. Both massively affect extraction times and how the coffee is brewed making a very different espresso every time.
Also, the Click Tamer or a Sprung Tamper is hugely important as this ensures the same pressure every time the coffee is tamped. Again, if the coffee is not tamped with enough pressure then the coffee can be brewed to quickly and if there is too much pressure it can brew to slowly. Both methods massively affect extraction times and how the coffee is brewed making a very different espresso every time.
These two simple methods will remove most errors in the making of coffee and ensure you get the perfect espresso every time. However, don’t forget you must set the Grind on the Grinder to the optimum for each coffee bean, a true Barista or your coffee supplier will be able to do this for you!!!!
